Pneumatic Piston Sampler – Side Wall Sampling for Reactor Vessels

This sampler is designed for direct sampling from the side wall of a reactor vessel. The operating sequence of the pneumatic sampler can be described as follows:

Initially, the sampler is in its home position, with the piston rod fully extended and tightly seated against the sealing surface of the welded flange. The piston rod is then pneumatically retracted, opening the sampling chamber.

In the next step, the process medium is introduced into the now-open sampling chamber by the agitator inside the reactor. Subsequently, the piston rod moves forward while rotating, sealing the sampling chamber and securely enclosing the sample inside.

The collected sample is then discharged to the sample outlet through reverse rotation of the piston rod. Finally, the sampler returns to its initial position, ready for the next sampling cycle.

This sequential operating principle ensures accurate and reliable sampling directly from the reactor vessel wall.
