This sampling valve/sampler is specifically designed for moist and viscous media.

Sampling moist products is significantly more challenging than handling dry, free-flowing materials. Due to their cohesive and adhesive characteristics, conventional samplers are often unsuitable for such applications. To meet these process requirements, we offer a pneumatic sampler specially developed for moist and viscous products.

Whether used for post-drying applications or other processes involving moist media, this sampler ensures reliable and repeatable sampling performance. The unit is suitable for highly viscous products and is optionally available in Hastelloy® C-22 for excellent corrosion resistance.

A key feature of this sampler is its self-cleaning sample chamber design, which minimizes cross-contamination and ensures accurate and reliable sampling results.

Operating Principle

The sampler is mounted directly to the process line via a flange or clamp connection.

During sampling, the sampling nozzle rotates into the product flow while the internal piston remains stationary, allowing product to enter the sampling chamber. An integrated cutting edge inside the nozzle ensures clean separation of the sample from the main process stream.

The collected sample is subsequently discharged by an internal piston through the sampler tube toward the outlet connection, where various sample collection systems can be installed.
