The fully lined SRS reactor sampling system is a proven, sophisticated system widely used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. One of the major advantages of these systems is that they enable closed, safe, and reliable sampling of liquid media from the top of reactors and vessels without process shutdown. The sampling systems operate under vacuum or pressure conditions. It should be noted, however, that these systems are not suitable for sampling boiling media; for such media, special loop systems can be supplied separately.
When designing these systems, our top priority is operational safety during sampling. Since the sampling systems are top‑mounted, no sampled medium can flow out of the system from the reactor or vessel. The operation can be visually monitored at any time, and the handling is extremely simple and safe. Thanks to the self‑draining design concept, the system ensures representative, dead‑leg‑free sampling.
The SRS sampling system is suitable for flange connection to the medium vessel, in accordance with ANSI 150 lbs and DIN PN16/40 flange standards (ASME B16.5 & EN 1092). A very common option is to install a dip tube between the medium vessel and the sampling unit. Such tubes can be manufactured to customer requirements, straight or bent, lined with durable materials such as PTFE or PTFE‑AS (antistatic). Raw material test reports and inspection certificates according to EN 10204 are also available upon request.
Reactor sampling systems are generally divided into two types: manual systems or automated systems with pneumatic diaphragm pumps.
The main features of both manual and automated systems are their compact design, good user experience, and safe operation at all times.
Sampling from all systems is performed through our proven SIV sampling valves. The modular concept allows additional valves such as diaphragm valves, ball valves, or plug valves to be fitted according to specific application requirements. Detailed specifications and applicable drawings are provided per customer request, ensuring fast and trouble‑free processing.
